An ideal base for Stonehenge, Avebury Circle, Devizes, the Kennett & Avon canal, Salisbury, Marlborough, and many National Trust and English Heritage sites.
Outstanding views across open countryside with easy access to The Ridgeway Path, which is fantastic for mountain bikers, walkers, and riders.
A truly tranquil location with lots of footpaths, byways, bridleways and local attractions to explore … and just a 5 minute walk to the local village pub.
Owls Cottage has full central heating and offers a double bedroom with super-king bed and a second bedroom with 2 single beds and a Z-bed. It has a fully equipped kitchen, lounge with TV & DVD player, and a fully refurbished bathroom with bath and separate walk-in rain shower. There is an outside patio/deck and acres of fields. Secure cycle storage is available if required. Plenty of parking adjacent to the cottage.
From the end of our lane a bridleway leads up to the Ridgeway and Salisbury Plain. There are other footpaths and bridleways too numerous to list, it is a walkers delight! There is a good pub less than 5 minutes walk away, which offers a selection of real ales and a remarkable choice of gins! It also serves above-average food 6 days a week. Within 15 minutes walk is a small supermarket, another good pub, coffee shop, chemist and a Chinese/Fish&chip takeaway.
